I joined an estimating firm as an estimating engineer in 1997. At that firm, I made strategies to maintain the established budget and minimize the fluctuations in operating costs that eventually affected the business success rate. After working 8 months in that estimating agency, I switched to another agency for the position of financial analyst. With my hard work and passion, I achieved the milestone of catering to 200+ clients in a short span of time. To make my estimates accurate, I contacted suppliers and other vendors to get information on the projected expenses to identify common sources of expense fluctuation and figure out their potential to recur.
Finally, in 1999 I laid the foundation of my dream estimating company USA Estimators. I started this company with a very small investment and a few staff members but I had confidence in my skills and passion.
Knowing how to run a successful business is one thing, but knowing how to make a business successful, starting from scratch is a whole other skill. But I did this challenging task. With the passage of time, my small company turned into a leading estimating company all across the USA. More than 250+ construction estimators are working in my firm now.
This is how all this started, and now after 25 years of hard work, I volunteer my time for teaching students while managing my estimating company. From the bottom of my heart, I want to teach civil engineers students and spark their passion for the construction industry.
